Product Details

We proudly present 'The Introverted House,' a complete revamp of a dysfunctional, run-down, purpose-built house in a Conservation Area in East London. This transformation speaks to both the past and the present, marrying historical sensitivity with contemporary design. Upon entering the house, it is evident that this is now a modern oasis, flooded with light, minimal yet warm, and functional. The careful layout and design choices create an immediate sense of tranquility and openness, a stark contrast to its former state.

The project incorporates natural elements throughout, with the most striking feature being the oak slat fall barrier to the staircase on all levels. This intricate detail acts as a beautiful statement piece, bringing a touch of nature into the heart of the home, while being building control compliant. The staircase, often overlooked, now stands as a central sculptural element, guiding the eye upwards and emphasizing the verticality of the space. Vertical lines reappear throughout the space, through fluted glass and linear tiles in the bathrooms.

The colour scheme oozes Scandi chic, with a palette of soft neutrals, warm woods, and subtle accents that create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. The walls, painted in light tones, reflect the abundant natural light streaming in through the new long window, enhancing the sense of spaciousness. Each room has been designed to balance form and function, with clean lines and uncluttered spaces that exude calmness and order.

Throughout the house, the use of natural materials extends beyond the oak slats, with stone countertops, wooden floors, and bespoke joinery seamlessly integrating with the architectural design. In every corner of The Introverted House, there is a thoughtful blend of aesthetics and utility, creating a harmonious living environment. This revamp is not just about a visual transformation; it is about crafting a livable space that feels like home—a modern sanctuary in the midst of East London.
